Playworker (Level 3 or 2)
We are looking for individuals with a sense of fun who want to work with primary school children. You will need to be enthusiastic about promoting children’s play opportunities, encouraging them to try out new activities and helping them make new friends. Good knowledge of playground and other children’s games is an asset and being artistic or sporty helps too.
Inside we do a range of craft activities, cookery, junk modelling, painting, dancing and a range other fun stuff…... now for the serious stuff
- Applicants with childcare experience and who have Level 3 or 2 qualification in Playwork or Childcare or working towards it.
- Successful applicants are required to provide full employment history, work references and an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service Check (DBS).
Duties & Responsibilities
You will be supervising or managing our site providing children aged between 4 and 11 years old with play opportunities after school.
Duties on a daily basis include setting up Playrooms, liaising with parents and school, planning and setting up activities for indoor & outdoor play, preparing snack and clearing up room used at end of session.
You will be working within EYFS and Ofsted regulations.
Possible hours of work are between:
7.30am to 8.45am for Breakfast Club.
14.45 to 17.45 for After School Club.
In addition to these hours there is also an option to work during School Holidays.
We would also consider applicants wishing to apply for either the Morning Shift or the Afternoon Shift.

There is an expectation that employees will undergo continuous professional development in support of this role. Courses include Safeguarding and Paediatric First Aid.
